dreamArchitecture
In 2025 AIA mobile partnered with the Alabama Center for Architecture to host the annual dreamArchitecture program within our region. This program reaches out to our elementary schools within the area and encourages K-5 children to think about their built environment through an art competition.
Contest themes vary each year, allowing students to express their creativity through drawing their dream house, hotel, park, and more. This year the "future architects" were asked to draw their dream Zoo! Within the AIA Mobile area, we had 355 submitted artwork entries from 12 schools across Mobile and Baldwin Counties.
The event culminated at an awards ceremony, in which the future architect's artwork was framed and placed on display within a practicing A&E firm in Mobile, Alabama. Parents, grandparents, siblings, art teachers, and more were in attendance to cheer on the winners.
